Life and Business Transformation Coaching

Background

I have a BA degree but, not knowing what I wanted to do in my life worked in a variety of private companies and travelled widely. Teaching English as a foreign language enabled me to finance my travelling and learn about other cultures and societies. Returning to England I worked in television, while searching for my true direction in life. In 1971 started the three-year training to become an Alexander Technique teacher.

The AT gave me the life direction I had been looking for and I continue to find it both fulfilling and empowering. Between 1984-1993 I lived in Italy where I founded the Italian Centre for the Alexander Technique. Returning to England I set up the Greater Manchester Centre for the Alexander Technique. In 1999 I moved to Dorset in the SW of England.

I have always been interested in the life changing possibilities of the Alexander Technique and obtained the certificate in Basic Training for Counselling from the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology in 1984. In 1996 I qualified as a Painless Spinal Touch therapist and in 2002 I trained as a Pilates teacher.

From the age of 14 my aim was to find work which I would find fulfilling, but it took me until I was 28 to really begin my life’s journey. Now all my activities are connected by living according to my values and from that starting point I am able to help other people who wish to unchain themselves from the thinking which is holding them back and embark on their journey to live the life they want to live. To this end I trained as a Life Coach with Elliott-Griffiths (in association with the Iron Mill Institute in Exeter).
